artwork is a legion of devoted skillsFor over 15 years Zoë has been perfecting the processes of her favorite disciplines (painting, drawing, murals, sculpture, mixed media) and developing a distinct style that narrates the duality of nature. She creates large-scale masterpieces that pull viewers into the depths of an environment where renderings of creatures combine exquisite detail with shifting imagination.
Her artworks lean towards imaginative realism with vivid depictions of charismatic marine/terrestrial life and the stellar worlds they inhabit. Aiming to captivate every viewer by provoking a deeper awareness and appreciation of their natural environments while showcasing oddities, antiquities, endangered, and unusual species with an imaginative, stylish palette.
Lately, sculptural elements are adding movement and dimension creeping off her canvases into wall adornments.
Markham deeply enjoys creating custom artworks, and working directly with clients to manifest their dreams with her versatile skillset. After hundreds of successful public and private commissions, Zoë remains a globe trotting Portsmouth, NH native who's devoted to authenticity, preserving nature, and the highest levels of handmade craftsmanship.
